Powerless without God
Why did a family with a special needs son kidnap her daughter?
Why can’t her daughter contact her siblings or family members?
Why did this family tell lies about a loving mother and present her with a restraining order?
Why did the police tell a mother to leave town after she was almost run over in a public parking lot?
Her daughter left for a trip to visit her fiancé, holding one suitcase and a round-trip ticket. As this mother and daughter snuggled together in the airport chairs, little did the mother know it would be the last time she would be part of her daughter’s life. A mother grieves the loss of her daughter with whom she had a tight knit bond for twenty-two years.
Psalm 139:13 (NIV), states “For you created my inmost being you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.”
On Easter morning twenty-nine years ago, when Anastasia, whose name means resurrection, came into this world, she faced medical and cognitive challenges. From her first moments on she was a fighter! Her mother loved, guided, and supported her through her life during surgeries, therapies, school challenges, a suicidal attempt, work programs, and daily obstacles to become an independent woman of God.
Now the mother feels her daughter is:
P-prisoner
O-out of touch with family and friends
W-weak
E-end of her freedom
R-real human trafficking
L-lost her voice and independence
E-ensnared by evil
S-slave
S-so vulnerable
This memoir strives to give others HOPE in the darkness. This mother shares her divine guidance of clinging to God to help you grow spiritually as you navigate the storms of life.
We are POWERLESS without God.
